To add a video to a web story's page, click on Video in the elements toolbar on the right of the editing zone.

To add a video, you can either import it in your Gallery or choose one from Pexel's bank.

  • To import it, Record or Upload the video from your device. It will be added to your web story's page and to your Gallery.

  • You can also use Pexel to add a video. Click on the Pexel tab, make a search and click on the chosen video to add it to your web story's page.

  • Or you can add a video with a Link. Paste the video URL in the link section and the video will load automatically.

To edit the added video, use the video editing pane on the right side of the builder. This pane allows you to:

  • Change the proportions of the video.

Contain will keep the whole video in the video box.
Cover will cover the video box with the video. With Cover, some parts of the edges of the video might not appear in the box as its goal is to cover it.

  • Customize the position & size of the video.

  • Rotate the video.

  • Change the video's opacity.

  • Add a border with a personalized color, size, and radius (which is the rounding).

  • Add an animation to the video.

You can also add subtitles to your videos.

โš ๏ธ Important

Video files larger than 100Mb cannot be added to your web story's page.

If you want to upload a video greater than 100Mb, you can compress it.

We recommend using freeconvert to compress your videos, as it enables you to compress them no more than necessary, so your videos' quality isn't affected more than it should be.

To make an optimal compression of your video file larger than 700Mb, enter the advanced settings of freeconvert. Select the "Target a file size (Mb)" Compression Method in freeconvert.com, and manually put 100 in the "Target size (Mb)" field.

Once your video's compressed, you can download it and upload it into the builder.
